Building Successful Businesses Since 1998
The key to a successful partnership is a relationship of trust and mutual benefit. We have helped many people start and grow their business using our knowledge of how to apply software solutions to observable market problems.
Strategic Partnership
We both provide services to the same target market, which are complimentary.
Marketing Partnership
You have a strong market presence, for which we white label software for you to sell to that market.
Startup Partnership
You have an idea we can explore market potential for. We will work to build your new business around the idea.
For a detailed description of each, click on the appropriate tab, below:
You are a management consultant, strategy consultant, or provide technology recommendations to an organization. You have the opportunity but require our expertise to deliver a complex custom enterprise software solution. We can help!
In the case where you brought a client to us, we may draft an agent agreement to ensure you get a percentage % of MRR (monthly recurring revenue) for the solution you sold to the client on our behalf. 20% is a typical percentage in this case for project and maintenance fees. The percentage for software license fees is variable and depends on many factors.
If we brought a client to you, we kindly ask for some type of remuneration at your discretion. In addition, if you recommend us as a part of the services you offer to the client, then we may draft an agent agreement, like the above (you brought a client).
EXAMPLE
The business you are working with has a need to modernize their software and processes. As you are helping with the organization change, you see they can greatly benefit from an updated software system to improve inter/intra-department communication or tie various aspects of the organization together. You present the opportunity to B3, which results in a 12-18 month engagement for which we work together to help the organization reach its best potential. For the sake of example, the implementation project consists of a $20k/month retainer from B3 to the client. And let’s say we agreed on a 20% referral fee across all billing, you receive $4k/month to be paid immediately after we receive payment from the client. After the implementation is complete, you continue to receive a percentage from licensing fees.
You have industry expertise and a strong market presence, but lack the software for which we may already mostly have the solution for. We can help!
If we have at least 80% of that solution already and the market opportunity is right for both parties, we may assume the risk and cost of developing the remaining 20%. We will then provide the software to your market with the understanding you will in good faith spend your own resources to bring the product to that market.
If product-market fit is not demonstrated within a certain reasonable time frame (such as 6-12 months), we reserve the right to terminate such marketing partnership agreement.
EXAMPLE
We have an inventory management solution which applies nicely to your food truck industry. You have a brand and business model for the solution, and we apply that branding to our application and host it for you at our data center. We then work with you to set up some demos so you can (pre)sell the solution. As you get feedback from other food truck operators, we may revise the software a couple of times in order to improve the salability to that market.
You are entrepreneurial minded, with a strong desire to serve others, and would like to explore new opportunities to start a software product business. Most importantly, you have witnessed frustrations of others first-hand in your industry and you are motivated to do something about it.
We have the idea and the skills to execute the software product. We can partner with your expertise!
We will guide and partner with you on your idea, so it has the best chance of achieving demonstrated product-market fit. Together we will create a new business for you.
NOTE: We have limited space available in the startup partnership program.
EXAMPLE
As a real estate agent with property management experience, we approach you with an offer to explore how our new property management tools apply to that industry. First, we explore the pain points experienced by people using legacy software in property management. Then, we collaborate with you to validate those pain points. We set up a demo site so you can pre-sell your contacts on our solution. It’s highly likely that our assumptions will be challenged, and we may pivot into something different than we first expected. We will be here walking with you through that journey to make sure we arrive at a solution that addresses real and big problems in the industry.
